Petrol and diesel prices are increasing continuously. Now for the 14th time in 16 days, the prices of petrol and diesel have been increased. In the last 16 days, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by about Rs 10 per liter. The increased prices are applicable from 6 am on Wednesday.
Oil companies have announced an increase of 80 paise per liter for both petrol and diesel. This is the 14th increase within 16 days. With this increase, till now the price of petrol and diesel has been increased by Rs 10 per liter. With this increase, a liter of petrol in the capital Delhi will cost Rs 105.41 while the price of diesel will be Rs 96.67 per liter.
Along with petrol and diesel, the price of CNG has also increased. On Monday, the price of CNG was increased by Rs 2.5 per kg. Now the price of CNG in Delhi has gone up to Rs 64.11 per kg. Late Sunday night too, the price of CNG was increased by 80 paise.
Regarding the issue raised on the prices of petrol and diesel, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Tuesday that India's increasing prices of petrol and diesel is very less as compared to America and Britain. He said that till now the prices of petrol and diesel in India have increased only by 5 per cent.
Hardeep Singh Puri said, "According to me, the price of petrol in India has increased by 5 per cent in the last two weeks. Their prices have not increased in India alone. Between April 2021 and March 2022, petrol prices have increased by 51 per cent in the US, 52 per cent in Canada, 55 per cent in Germany, 55 per cent in the UK, 50 per cent in France and 58 per cent in Spain."
