Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 55.97 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 37.77 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 22.76 crore), Shree Ren Sug(numbers of share traded: 9.22 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 8.10 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 7.87 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.10 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 5.75 crore), Adani Power(numbers of share traded: 5.47 crore) and NTPC(numbers of share traded: 5.27 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 149.75 points down at 17807.65, while BSE Sensex ended down 566.09 points at 59610.41.

On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 3.57 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 3.34 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
