
NEW DELHI: Tata Power(Rs. 6543.91 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 2114.01 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1563.52 crore), RIL(Rs. 1478.44 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 1328.23 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1305.57 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1144.26 crore), Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Ltd.(Rs. 1115.90 crore), PayTM(Rs. 1094.97 crore) and Ruchi Soya Inds(Rs. 1018.53 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 149.75 points down at 17807.65, while BSE Sensex fell 566.09 points to 59610.41.
In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 3.17 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.92 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 3.57 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 3.34 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
