
Mumbai State governments and Union territories will aim to borrow ₹1.90 lakh crore in the first three months of the financial year, which began on April 1, the Reserve Bank of India said in a release late evening Tuesday. The amount is higher than the average market expectation for state government borrowings. "We were expecting about ₹15,000-20,000 crore less than what was stated," said a market dealer.
