NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:29AM

GE Power India Limited(up 7.95%), CESC(up 5.54%), Adani Power(up 5.00%), RTNPOWER(up 4.96%), Suzlon Energy(up 4.83%), Reliance Power(up 4.82%), DPSC(up 4.61%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.55%), Alstom T&D India(up 3.48%) and Tata Power Company(up 3.40%) were among the top gainers.

Jyoti Structures(down 2.61%), Karma Energy(down 1.55%), K.P.I. Global Infrastructure(down 0.53%) and Torrent Power(down 0.39%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 128.35 points down at 17829.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 483.17 points at 59693.33 at around 10:29AM.

NTPC(up 2.88%), Coal India(up 2.71%), UPL Ltd(up 1.83%), Tata Steel(up 1.27%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.13%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.06%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.96%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.9%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.8%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.68%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, HDFC Bank(down 2.4%), HDFC(down 2.12%), Axis Bank(down 1.61%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.61%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.59%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.54%), HCL Technologies(down 1.42%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.39%), Infosys(down 1.31%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.07%) were trading in the red.
