The ED has attached eight land parcels in Alibaug and a flat in Mumbai's Dadar suburb linked to Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and his family under the anti-money laundering law, officials said on Tuesday.
The government probe agency gave a temporary connection under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to freeze the plots and flat.
The attachment is connected to a money laundering investigation connected to a Rs 1,034 crore worth land scam connected with the re-advancement of a chawl in Mumbai.
The ED had captured Maharashtra-based businessman Pravin Raut for this situation in February and later documented a chargesheet as well.
The office had additionally addressed Sanjay Raut's spouse Varsha Raut last year regarding another money laundering case connected to the PMC Bank extortion case and for her indicated links with Pravin Raut's spouse Madhuri.
