Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: SBI Cards(Rs. 479.25 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 220.75 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 163.70 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 118.02 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 112.45 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 102.71 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 97.02 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 66.48 crore), PayTM(Rs. 56.98 crore) and Adani Ent.(Rs. 55.77 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 96.0 points down at 17957.4, while BSE Sensex fell 435.24 points to 60176.5.

In the Nifty index, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.60 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 3.33 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.53 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.35 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 2.93 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.20 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 2.10 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
