Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.23% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Phoenix Mills(up 0.47 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.39 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.87 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.05 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.69 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.57 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.23 per cent at 475.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 70.9 points at 17982.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 274.34 points at 60337.4.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI Cards, YES Bank, JP Power and Adani Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Krishana Phoschem, Hitech Corporation, Southern Petro, Genus Paper Boards and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while P E Analytics Ltd., GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd. and Swaraj Suiting Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
