Chasing a target of 180 termed out very difficult for the Super Kings as they lost five wickets including Moeen Ali and for a duck on the score of 37 in the first 8 overs only.

Shivam Dube got going and hit a 26 ball 50 but MS Dhoni at the other end was just not scoring quickly enough and the pressure was transferred to Dube who perished at 57 off 30 balls. In the same over, Dwayne Bravo departed too and Pretorious said good bey after hitting just one six.

In the last three overs, 60 runs were needed and MS Dhoni was caught brilliantly by Jitesh Sharma off the bowling of Rahul Chahar to dash all hopes of the Super Kings in the same over, Chris Jordan was out of the very last ball and thus ended the CSK innings at 126.
