Viral video: Pravin Tambe breaks down in tears after watching biopic with Kolkata Knight Riders

After watching the movie about his journey with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team, leg-spinner Pravin Tambe was brought to tears and speechlessness. On Friday, the film 'Kaun Pravin Tambe?' was officially released. Tambe was seen enjoying the movie with the KKR players and staff in a video provided by KKR. Tambe then stood up to say a few words, but he became overwhelmed as he began. He cried as he said, "I just want to say." The team erupted in cheers as a show of support for the seasoned spinner.

KKR captain Shreyas Iyer said in the video, "We were quite excited to watch the movie, and today we finally got to see it. It was emotional, the songs were also nice, and then hearing his speech at the end, I was a little teary at the end.”

Tambe could be seen saying, "Lot of people know that I debuted when I was 41, but they don't know what I did before that. So people will watch the movie and get to know and hopefully it will make them think that one should never give up,"

Before getting selected by Rajasthan Royals in 2013, Tambe had never played professional cricket. When he played for them that season, he became the oldest Indian Premier League (IPL) debutant.

In 2014, he even scored a hat-trick against KKR. He was purchased by KKR in the IPL 2020 auction, however his contract was terminated by the BCCI since he participated in a T10 league without the necessary permissions.

Meanwhile, KKR began their IPL 2022 campaign with a win against Chennai Super Kings in the season opener, but were defeated by Royal Challengers Bangalore in a low-scoring battle in their second match.
