AU Small Finance Bank(up 3.48 per cent), Axis Bank(up 1.07 per cent), RBLBANK(up 0.74 per cent), Federal Bank(up 0.72 per cent) and Bandhan Bank(up 0.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.36 per cent at 36464.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 3.2 points at 17501.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 51.67 points at 58735.66.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of Max Healthcare, Vodafone Idea, Adani Power, YES Bank and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Osia Hyper Retail, Jagsonpal Pharm, Aarvi Encon, KEI Industries and AVT Nat Prod hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Ganga Forging, Supreme Infra, Panacea Biotec and Gateway Distriparks Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
