DFM Foods(up 12.83%), Bajaj Consumer(up 9.08%), ADF Foods(up 7.97%), Dangee Dums(up 6.73%), P & G Hygiene(up 2.90%), Marico(up 2.80%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 2.68%), Jyothy Labs(up 2.04%), Britannia Industries(up 1.84%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 1.62%) stood among the top gainers.
Hind.Foods(down 2.20%), Varun Beverages(down 2.03%), Dodla Dairy(down 1.69%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.06%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.84%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 0.48%), Zydus Wellness(down 0.47%), Gillette India(down 0.23%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 0.08%) and Parag Milk(down 0.05%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 33.5 points down at 17464.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 115.48 points at 58568.51.
JSW Steel(up 2.1%), Britannia Industries(up 1.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.66%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.62%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.51%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 1.49%), Axis Bank(up 1.43%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.17%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.99%) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.98%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 5.05%), Divis Laboratories(down 3.01%), Wipro(down 1.48%), Reliance Industries(down 1.43%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.35%), Eicher Motors(down 1.18%), Cipla(down 1.06%), UPL Ltd(down 0.84%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.76%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.64%) closed in the red.
