IPL 2022, RCB vs KKR Live Updates: Sunil Narine dealth a timely blow as KKR regained control of the proceedings against RCB in match 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. David Willey and Sherfane Rutherford had steadied the ship after RCB had lost three early wickets. However, Narine removed Willey to put KKR back in the contest. Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee had combined to give KKR a dream start, removing the likes of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis inside the first three overs. Earlier, Wanindu Hasaranga took a four-wicket-haul as RCB bowled out KKR for a below-par total of 128. KKR were reeling at 101 for nine before Umesh Yadav (18) and Varun Chakaravarthy (10) took them to a respectable total. Andre Russell top-scored for KKR with a decent 25 but Harshal Patel broke his resistance with his variations. Earlier, RCB won the toss and elected to bowl. Both teams have had contrasting starts to their IPL 2022 campaigns so far. While RCB lost out to Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a high-scoring thriller, KKR eased past defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the tournament opener. RCB were excellent with the bat with newly-appointed skipper Faf du Plessis and former skipper Virat Kohli all scoring runs for fun. However, they will have a lot of work to do in the bowling department. KKR, on the other hand, impressed with their bowling, especially Umesh Yadav, who will have a point to prove against his former team.
