Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 23.41 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 14.16 crore), Adani Power(numbers of share traded: 13.28 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 11.97 crore), Indian Oil Corp.(numbers of share traded: 10.64 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 10.08 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 9.52 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 8.49 crore), Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 8.18 crore) and MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 5.52 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 172.95 points up at 17498.25, while BSE Sensex ended up 740.34 points at 58683.99.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 5.26 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 4.99 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 4.82 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
