Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Omega Interactive Technologies Ltd.(19.95%), Ruchi Soya Inds(15.94%) and Danlaw Technologies(15.84%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 350.16 points up at 57943.65, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 103.3 points up at 17325.3.
In the Nifty50 index, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Omega Interactive Technologies Ltd., Adani Power, Rashtriya Chemicals, Himadri Speciality and Sunshield Chem hit their fresh 52-week high, while Future Consumer, Kuberan Global Edu Solutions Ltd., Future Supply Chain, Sadbhav Eng and Lasa Supergenerics touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
