Mawana Sugars(down 5.39%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 4.95%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 3.46%), AVADHSUGAR(down 2.61%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 2.41%), Sakthi Sugars(down 2.41%), Rana Sugars(down 2.40%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 2.34%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 2.32%) and Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 1.97%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 103.3 points up at 17325.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 350.16 points at 57943.65.
Eicher Motors(up 4.22%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.39%), Divis Laboratories(up 3.28%), JSW Steel(up 3.26%), HDFC(up 3.05%), Bharti Airtel(up 2.99%), UltraTech Cement(up 2.62%), SBI Life(up 2.25%), Cipla(up 2.14%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.03%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp(down 7.04%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 3.03%), Coal India(down 2.75%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 1.38%), ITC(down 0.95%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.64%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.51%), State Bank of India(down 0.5%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.47%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.35%) closed in the red.
