60 ml Cutty Sark Scotch Whisky 3-4 Fresh watermelon chunks 30 ml watermelon juice 8-10 Fresh mint Simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water ratio) Salt 3 wedges of lime Soda
Instructions
Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, and dip the rim in coarse salt. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
Muddle mint and lime wedges into the cocktail shaker
Add 30 ml watermelon juice to add a dash of color
Add all ingredients with whisky and shake. until the shaker is chilled, for about 10 seconds.
Double strain your cocktail into the prepared glass. Garnish with a small watermelon slice.
Blueberry Cutty Spritzers Ingredients 60 ml Cutty Sark Scotch whisky 30 ml lemon juice 60ml blueberry syrup 60 ml tonic water
For The Blueberry Syrup: ½ cup sugar ½ cup water 1 cup blueberries (frozen is fine if fresh are not in season)
Instructions to make the syrup
Combine sugar, water, and blueberries in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook until sugar has dissolved and blueberries have softened.
Remove saucepan from heat and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
Strain syrup into a separate bowl to remove the blueberries and set syrup aside.
Recipe to make the cocktail
Add a few ice cubes to the cocktail glass.
In a large shaker, combine Cutty Sark whisky, lemon juice, and blueberry syrup. Add a handful of ice and shake to chill.
Top each cocktail with a splash of tonic water and serve.
