Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 5.15 crore), Zee Ent.(number of shares traded: 4.21 crore), L&T Fin Holding(number of shares traded: 3.97 crore), Future Consumer (number of shares traded: 1.92 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 1.89 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.85 crore), NALCO(number of shares traded: 1.71 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 1.67 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 1.59 crore) and ITC(number of shares traded: 1.54 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:34AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 27.4 points down at 17218.25, while BSE Sensex was down 95.72 points at 57589.1 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.80 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 2.29 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.90 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.60 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 2.81 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 2.25 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.76 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.50 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
