NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 89.14 points down at 57595.68 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Jet Infraventure(down 19.14 per cent), Rajeswari Infra(down 10.85 per cent), Aryaman Capital(down 10.64 per cent), Bambino Agro(down 9.91 per cent) and L&T Fin Holding(down 9.70 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 22.9 points down at 17222.75.

On the BSE, Bhatia Colour Chem Ltd., Jet Infraventure, Danlaw Technologies, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd. and Pithampur Poly hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Khemani Dist, Active Clothing Co, Gujarat Craft, Nintec Systems Ltd. and Agarwal Corp touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
