Birbhum violence: Shameful event, indelible scar on governance: WB Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar

Bagdogra (West Bengal), Mar 24 (ANI): West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on March 24, while speaking about the Birbhum violence in Bagdogra, called the incident as a shameful event and an incredible scar on the governance and the democracy. “This is a shameful event and an indelible scar on the governance. The burning of people alive in a democracy in this manner is very painful. I appeal to the government to learn the lessons rather than offering defence,” the WB Governor said. The said incident happened on March 22, in which 8 persons were burnt to death after their houses were set on fire.
