ThinkStock PhotosNEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, NRB Industrial(20.0%), Niks Technology Ltd.(20.0%), Ashapura Mine(20.0%), Garment Mantra Life(18.01%), L&T Fin Holding(17.81%), Future Supply Chain(16.39%) and Menon Bearings(15.57%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 304.48 points down at 57684.82, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 69.85 points down at 17245.65.
In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Bambino Agro, Shivalik Bimetal, Suven Pharma, Royal Orchid and Hindustan Adhes hit their fresh 52-week high, while Dhani Ibull Ventures, Pithampur Poly, Ascensive Educare Ltd., Tarini International and Natural Biocon(I)touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
