ReutersNEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 2611.26 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1514.09 crore), PayTM(Rs. 1455.92 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1315.99 crore), SBI(Rs. 1272.01 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1069.91 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1069.72 crore), TCS(Rs. 1068.29 crore), HUL(Rs. 1065.65 crore) and ITC(Rs. 914.33 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 197.9 points up at 17315.5, while BSE Sensex rose 696.81 points to 57989.3.
In the Nifty index, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.95 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.14 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.90 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 2.58 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 2.81 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.50 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
