
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.
Shares of DLF(up 1.34 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.29 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 3.97 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.36 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 2.25 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 2.16 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 1.79 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.01 per cent down at 443.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 197.9 points at 17315.5, while the BSE Sensex stood up 696.81 points at 57989.3.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 8 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, PNB and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Madras Fert, Ganesh Housing, Dangee Dums, Orbit Exports and NIIT hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gateway Distriparks Ltd., Future Retail, FutureLifestyleFash, Future Enterprises and Future Supply Chain hit their fresh 52-week lows.
