Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:29AM

Madras Fertlizers(up 9.04%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 4.99%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 3.89%), ZUARIAGRO(up 3.77%), Aries Agro(up 3.74%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 2.10%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.00%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.99%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 1.51%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.28%) were among the top gainers.

KRISHANA(down 6.98%), Sikko Industries(down 4.94%), Agro Phos(down 1.68%), Coromandel International(down 1.28%) and G S F C(down 0.54%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 62.2 points down at 17055.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 224.87 points at 57067.62 at around 10:29AM.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.39%), Reliance Industries(up 1.93%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 1.61%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.51%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.24%), Coal India(up 1.21%), Tata Steel(up 0.95%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.74%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.73%) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.56%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever(down 3.8%), Nestle India(down 3.05%), Britannia Industries(down 2.62%), Grasim Industries(down 2.11%), Asian Paints(down 2.06%), Axis Bank(down 2.0%), State Bank of India(down 1.85%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.78%), SBI Life(down 1.76%) and Titan Company Ltd(down 1.61%) were trading in the red.
