Vadilal Industries(up 4.16%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.96%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 2.59%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 2.27%), Hindustan Unilever(up 2.01%), Gillette India(up 1.67%), ADF Foods(up 1.58%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.52%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 1.25%) and JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 1.02%) were among the top gainers.
Future Consumer(down 6.11%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 2.58%), Dangee Dums(down 1.89%), Varun Beverages(down 1.72%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.18%) and Prataap Snacks(down 0.04%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 300.65 points up at 17276.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 1050.44 points at 57867.09 at around 10:19AM.
HDFC(up 4.03%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 3.6%), Asian Paints(up 3.06%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.92%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.71%), HDFC Bank(up 2.51%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.49%), Eicher Motors(up 2.46%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.46%) and Axis Bank(up 2.17%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Indian Oil Corporation(down 0.62%) were trading in the red.
