On the occasion of Holika Dahan on March 17, 2022, banks will be shut in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.

In March 2022, seven of the 13 bank holidays are listed in the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday calendar, with the remaining holidays falling on the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as all Sundays in the month.

On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, as well as all Sundays, banks are closed. Customers should note that not all banks in the country will be closed on the same days, with the exception of weekends. Bank customers can do most of the financial transactions using net banking, and mobile banking.

The public sector, private sector, foreign banks, cooperative banks, and regional banks in India would be required to remain closed on the stated dates, according to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) standards. The Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Closing of Accounts are among the holidays announced by the RBI for lenders.
