
NEW DELHI: Shares of Gujarat Ambuja, AVT Nat Prod, InfoBeans Tech, Andhra Paper and NDTV, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 312.35 points up at 16975.35 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Atal Realtech, Ganga Forging, Vaidya Sane Ayurved Laboratories Ltd., Akash Infra-Proj and FutureLifestyleFash, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 46 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 4 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, UltraTech Cem., Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Shree Cements and Bajaj Auto were among top gainers during the day, while Cipla, Sun Pharma, Power Grid, Tata Consumer and Adani Ports SEZ ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 1039.8 points up at 56816.65.
Traders piled up positions in Paper, Telecommunications, Cement, Defence and Airlines sectors, while selling was witnessed in Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Auto Ancillaries, Construction and Electric/Electronics sectors during the day.
