NEW DELHI: Shares of Ambuja Cements Ltd. traded 2.44 per cent up in Tuesday's trade at 10:15AM (IST). Around 39,186 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 294.5 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 299.25 and Rs 293.0, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Ambuja Cements Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 442.95 and a 52-week low of Rs 273.95.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Ambuja Cements Ltd. stood at Rs 59152.37 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 7709.61 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2021, up 14.38 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 6740.57 crore and up 2.08 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 7552.73 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 290.65 crore, down 60.31 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2021, DIIs held 6.56 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 14.66 per cent and the promoters 0.0 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 21.27 and a price-to-book ratio of 2.96. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
