ReutersNEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:34AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
TIINDIA(up 0.63 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.17 per cent) and Bharat Forge(up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tata Motors(down 2.63 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 1.56 per cent), Bosch(down 1.51 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 1.38 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp(down 1.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.96 per cent at 9883.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 41.35 points at 16671.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 237.22 points at 55787.52.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, Shree Ren Sug and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Dhampur Sugar, Triveni Engg, Speciality Rest, Jindal Drilling and BSE hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Jubilant Food, PayTM, Vaidya Sane Ayurved Laboratories Ltd., Future Supply Chain and Akash Infra-Proj hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
