
NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Ruchi Soya Inds(20.0%), Technocraft Ind(20.0%), Valencia Nutrition L(20.0%), RDB Realty(19.97%), Ganges Securities(19.61%), Dhampur Sugar(19.51%) and Usha Martin(18.78%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 935.72 points up at 56486.02, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 240.85 points up at 16871.3.
In the Nifty50 index, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Technocraft Ind, Ganges Securities, Dhampur Sugar, Usha Martin and Ingersoll-Rand hit their fresh 52-week high, while Omega Interactive Technologies Ltd., PayTM, Jubilant Food, Future Supply Chain and U P Hotels Ltd. touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
