Holi is around the corner and for the past two years, the celebrations have been muted due to the ongoing pandemic. This year the scene might be a bit different – chances are people will be out celebrating, clicking images or shooting videos.

If you are out celebrating Holi with colours or water, then you need to keep that precious smartphone safe. There’s always the option of not carrying your smartphone, but that’s something many would not prefer.

There are certain things you can do to keep your gadgets safe while playing Holi and here we have put together a few ideas for you.

Bag-it: Safe And Easy

The best way to keep your gadgets safe during Holi is by using a water-resistant bag. These are transparent waterproof bags that provide protection against water, dust, and other particles. You can easily snag them at your neighbourhood store or pop on to e-commerce sites to get one.

Tape It Up
Keeping ports safe is critical. You can paste regular transparent tape on the posts to keep them secure. This will keep the water and dry colours from clogging into the charging ports, speaker grilles.

Things To Remember

The sound of silence: Keep the phone on silent to prevent speakers from getting damaged.
Don’t use biometric lock: A pattern or PIN is better if you keep the phone in a bag.

Don’t charge your phone when it is wet or you’ve just taken it out of the pouch. Avoid using hair dryers to dry the smartphone if it gets wet.
