India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test Day 2 Highlights : The India cricket team is taking on the Sri Lanka cricket team in the second and final Test match of the two-match Test series from March 12 onwards at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The match, a day-night affair, is being played with the Pink ball. India won the first Test by a huge margin of an innings and 222 runs and courtesy of that have an unassailable 1-0 lead in the series.

India vs Sri Lanka: India close in on victory

The Indian team finished Day 2 of the second Test between itself and the visitors, Sri Lanka, on a high as it took one of the 10 wickets it needs for the victory in this Test. After getting the Lankans all out for 109, India were helped by a blistering 28 ball 50 from Rishabh Pant, which was the fastest by any Indian Test cricket history. Along with him, Shreyas Iyer scored 67 and became the first Indian to score fifty-plus runs in both innings of a Day-Night Test. skipper Rohit Sharma also scored 46 to take the Indian total 303/9 where they declared. 

Sri Lanka finally showed some application with the bat as even after losing Lahiruy Thirimanne in the first over to Jasprit Bumrah, they did not lose any more wickets in the seven overs that they had to face under lights and finished the day on 28/1. They now need 419 to win with nine wickets in hand three days of the Test match left. 

Ind vs Sl 2nd Test: Sri Lanka all out for 109

Earlier in the day, the Indian team started well as they got Sri Lanka all out for 109 in its first innings which is now its second-lowest total in Tests against India. Starting from their overnight score of 86-6, the Lankan team could bat only 35 balls and add 23 more runs to their total. Jasprit Bumrah added two more wickets to his tally of three from last night and claimed the eighth five-wicket haul of his Test career
