ReutersNEW DELHI: Tata Motors(Rs. 2548.82 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 2480.10 crore), RIL(Rs. 1980.56 crore), BSE(Rs. 1803.26 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1750.44 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1635.07 crore), SBI(Rs. 1623.80 crore), Coforge(Rs. 1573.48 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1564.48 crore) and Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1392.55 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 249.55 points up at 16594.9, while BSE Sensex rose 817.06 points to 55464.39.
In the Nifty index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 5.21 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 4.25 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 4.12 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 3.76 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 3.76 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 4.13 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.60 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
