Varanasi South seat, Uttar Pradesh Election Result 2022 LIVE: BJP's Neelkanth Tiwari leads

BJP's Neelkanth Tiwari, who won in 2017 elections from the Varanasi South, is leading from the seat. This year, Tiwari is contesting against Kameshwar alias Kishan Dixit of Samajwadi Party (SP). 

Varanasi South assembly seat falls under the Varanasi district and is witnessing tough competition for the MLA seat as five prominent parties BJP, INC, BSP, AAP, and SP are fighting for this.   

Assembly elections were held in Uttar Pradesh from February 10 to March 7 in seven phases. The counting of votes for the Assembly elections in five states - Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur.
