iQOO is coming up with a budget smartphone in India if the words of a noted tipster are to be believed. The phone will be named iQOO Z6 and will come with a claim of being the "fastest 5G smartphone" for under Rs 15,000. Hints of the phone's launch come within a month of the company's unveiling of its flagship iQOO 9 phone series in India.
To commit to these claims, the iQOO Z6 may feature an AnTuTu Score of 4,10,563, believed to be the highest in this price segment. Enabling this would be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset and an 8GB RAM with Vivo's Extended RAM 2.0 technology, which will further bring a 4GB RAM boost in times of need.
The information has been shared by tipster Mukul Sharma in a recent tweet, who seems to be rather confident on the phone's existence and imminent launch in India. In addition to the performance, Sharma hinted that the iQOO Z6 will come with a 120Hz display with FHD+ resolution. It will even sport the 5-layer liquid cooling technology meant for heat management on many of iQOO's high-end phones.
With the possible specifications of the iQOO Z6, Sharma also shared the first-ever image of the phone. As seen in the image, the iQOO Z6 will have a rectangle-shaped camera module at the back with two big lenses and an LED flash on the side. There is also a third lens in there but it is not clearly visible at the time.
The camera module as well as the rest of the form factor of the phone resembles that of the recently launched Vivo T1 5G. The phone has been priced at Rs 15,990 in India for the base variant which comes with 4GB RAM. If iQOO bests this with an 8GB RAM remains to be seen.
If the iQOO phone is indeed to be launched as Sharma has portrayed here, it may not take the company too long to bring the phone to the country. Since it is a rebranded model, iQOO may already be prepared on its production and will likely start shipping the phone in the country within this month.
