Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.96 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.76 crore), Coforge(number of shares traded: 0.67 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 0.57 crore), Sun and Shine(number of shares traded: 0.49 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.48 crore), Ballarpur Inds.(number of shares traded: 0.44 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), Kretto Syscon (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore) and Sword-ECommer(number of shares traded: 0.32 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 395.3 points up at 16740.65, while BSE Sensex was up 1364.15 points at 56011.48 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Axis Bank Ltd.(up 6.70 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 6.65 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 5.33 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 5.27 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 5.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Coal India Ltd.(down 4.31 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.40 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
