Inox wind(up 5.51%), JSW Energy(up 5.00%), RTNPOWER(up 4.90%), Indowind Energy(up 4.81%), Energy Development Company(up 4.76%), K.P.I. Global Infrastructure(up 4.72%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.57%), Reliance Power(up 4.30%), Alstom T&D India(up 4.24%) and Karma Energy(up 4.17%) stood among the top gainers.
KKV Agro(down 5.00%), Adani Transmissions(down 2.36%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.00%), NTPC(down 1.68%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.80%), SJVN(down 0.35%) and PTC India(down 0.18%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 331.9 points up at 16345.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1223.24 points at 54647.33.
Asian Paints(up 5.56%), Reliance Industries(up 5.31%), Bajaj Finance(up 5.04%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 4.88%), IndusInd Bank(up 4.12%), Bajaj Finserv(up 3.91%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.67%), Tata Motors(up 3.61%), HDFC Bank(up 3.26%) and Maruti Suzuki(up 3.24%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Shree Cement(down 2.74%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.07%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.0%), NTPC(down 1.68%), Coal India(down 1.32%), Tata Steel(down 1.11%), Nestle India(down 0.68%), SBI Life(down 0.65%), JSW Steel(down 0.43%) and Wipro(down 0.33%) closed in the red.
