ReutersNEW DELHI: Shares of TTK Healthcare, Ugar Sugar Work, Dwarikesh Sugar, NDTV and Mangalam Global Ent, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:55AM(IST)on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 141.75 points to 16155.2 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Akash Infra-Proj, Easun Reyrolle, Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., Sansera Engineering Ltd. and Whirlpool India, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 31 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 19 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, RIL, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports SEZ, Dr. Reddys and Sun Pharma were among top gainers, while Shree Cements, Power Grid, NTPC, Kotak Bank and Axis Bank traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 540.92 points up at 53965.01 at 10:55AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Airlines, Telecommunications, Learning & Education, Media & Entertainment and Sugar sectors, while selling was visible in Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Construction, Irrigation & Allied Services and Electric/Electronics sectors.
