Imagine taking a cab and finding the CEO of that taxi company behind the wheel. Wouldn't that add to your travel experience and make you feel more welcomed, valued and safe?
Well, if you travelling in Delhi or Gurugram, there is a high chance that you might find Uber India CEO Prabhjeet Singh as your Uber driver.
In order to understand their customers better and get to know them in person, Singh has been picking up passengers in his Uber cab. A couple of people who were lucky enough to end up with an Uber ride with Singh as its driver, took to LinkedIn to share their personal experience.
"Luck doesn’t strike you while sitting at home, alone," wrote Ananya Dwivedi, Founder of ArtPillz, who had stepped out of her home after a long time to work from office and found Singh, the Uber India CEO behind wheel.
"It was a part of his primary research," she informed. In the beginning, Dwivedi thought something is fishy and had to google his name and match the face to actually believe him. Well, we don't blame you at all!
Dwivedi wasn't only surprised but also inspired. "It takes real humility as well as grit to get to the roots of the problems like this," she added alongside a picture with Singh from Uber cab.
Another passenger who was lucky enough to witness this rare moment was Madhuvanthi Sundararajan, General Manager of Brand.
Sundararajan was already impressed when the Uber she booked texted saying the cab was "on the way" without asking about her drop location.
"I waited downstairs when the car came into my society. The driver said - ‘Hi Madhuvanthi, I am the CEO of Uber India and you are my first passenger today. Would you be willing to do this ride?’" she shared on her LinkedIn profile.
Singh's this gesture really won her admiration for wanting to understand how things work on-ground.
