
NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2558.95 crore), RIL(Rs. 2181.30 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 2153.64 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1946.37 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1896.25 crore), Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 1887.88 crore), SBI(Rs. 1846.81 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1752.76 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1749.56 crore) and Axis Bank(Rs. 1627.95 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 150.3 points up at 16013.45, while BSE Sensex rose 581.34 points to 53424.09.
In the Nifty index, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(up 4.28 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 3.93 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 3.61 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 3.30 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(up 3.02 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 4.81 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 4.20 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
