EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Live market updates: The key benchmark indices quoted with marginal losses, albiet some volatility as investors remained concerned over the impact of Russia-Ukraine war on oil and other commoditiy prices.
The BSE benchmark index, the Sensex, from a low of 52,410 rallied to a high of 53,024, and was down around 250 points in late morning deals. The NSE Nifty was down around 100-odd points.
IT shares continued to hold gains - TCS, Tech M and Infosys were up around 2 per cent each. Power majors - NTPC and PowerGrid Corporation were the otehr major gainers.

The broader markets, however, hold ground. The BSE MidCap index was up 0.2 per cent and the SmallCap added 0.5 per cent.
Sectorally, Nifty IT, Healthcare, PSU, Media indices were strongly outperforming the market and were up 0.6-2 per cent each. On the flip side, the Banking, Metal, Auto and Oil & Gas indices were the major losers.
