Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 19.78 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.66 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 7.31 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 7.22 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.58 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 6.49 crore), Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 5.55 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 4.49 crore), SBI(numbers of share traded: 4.25 crore) and Ashok Leyland(numbers of share traded: 4.17 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 150.3 points up at 16013.45, while BSE Sensex ended up 581.34 points at 53424.09.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 4.81 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 4.20 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
