Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 11:05AM

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.55%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 3.98%), Agro Phos(up 3.58%), ZUARIAGRO(up 2.65%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 2.56%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.08%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.84%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.75%), Sikko Industries(up 1.68%) and Madras Fertlizers(up 1.48%) were among the top gainers.

Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 4.31%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 2.65%), G S F C(down 0.81%), KRISHANA(down 0.42%) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.33%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 75.55 points down at 15787.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 203.98 points at 52638.77 at around 11:05AM.

NTPC(up 2.27%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.22%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.94%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.73%), Infosys(up 1.65%), Cipla(up 1.56%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 1.16%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.06%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.98%) and HCL Technologies(up 0.95%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 3.69%), Hindalco Industries(down 3.17%), Tata Steel(down 3.01%), Axis Bank(down 2.83%), Maruti Suzuki(down 2.73%), Asian Paints(down 2.21%), UPL Ltd(down 1.86%), HDFC Bank(down 1.73%), State Bank of India(down 1.7%) and Britannia Industries(down 1.54%) were trading in the red.
