Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower on Monday at 10:34AM

Mawana Sugars(up 2.62%), Sakthi Sugars(up 2.08%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 1.82%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 0.10%) were among the top gainers.

Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 4.38%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 3.04%), KCP Sugar & Industries(down 2.87%), DCM Shriram Industries(down 2.62%), Rana Sugars(down 2.59%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 2.51%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 2.42%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 2.40%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 2.10%) and AVADHSUGAR(down 2.10%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 491.45 points down at 15753.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 1745.66 points at 52588.15 at around 10:34AM.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 4.08%), Hindalco Industries(up 3.01%), Coal India(up 1.27%), Infosys(up 0.64%) and Cipla(up 0.09%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 5.88%), Tata Motors(down 5.87%), Eicher Motors(down 5.82%), Hero MotoCorp(down 5.68%), Axis Bank(down 5.59%), Maruti Suzuki(down 5.5%), Larsen & Toubro(down 5.48%), Bajaj Finserv(down 5.43%), State Bank of India(down 5.31%) and ICICI Bank(down 5.25%) were trading in the red.
