India’s Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Exceeds 178.55 Cr: Centre

The weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 0.84 per cent and the Daily Positivity rate is at 0.63 per cent

With the administration of 24,62,562 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 178.55 core (1,78,55,66,940)  through 2,06,52,074 sessions, informed 

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday.  

According to the ministry, 11,651 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,23,78,721. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.65 per cent. 

The ministry added that a total of 5,921 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. India’s active caseload is presently at 63,878 which constitute 0.15 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

"The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 9,40,905tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 77.19 crore (77,19,14,261) cumulative tests," according to the ministry.
