Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 2.12%), Zydus Wellness(up 1.92%), DFM Foods(up 1.68%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 1.58%), Jyothy Labs(up 1.29%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.29%), Varun Beverages(up 0.87%), Umang Dairies(up 0.30%), Parag Milk(up 0.30%) and Gillette India(up 0.19%) stood among the top gainers.
Euro India Fresh Foods(down 3.61%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 3.37%), Vadilal Industries(down 3.11%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.70%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 2.46%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 2.45%), Nakoda Group(down 2.42%), Nestle India(down 2.29%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 2.03%) and Heritage Foods(down 1.73%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 107.9 points down at 16498.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 366.22 points at 55102.68.
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 4.51%), UPL Ltd(up 3.51%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.3%), Wipro(up 2.58%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.32%), Coal India(up 2.25%), HCL Technologies(up 2.16%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.14%), ITC(up 1.9%) and JSW Steel(up 1.57%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, UltraTech Cement(down 6.54%), Asian Paints(down 5.18%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 5.18%), Shree Cement(down 4.62%), Eicher Motors(down 3.93%), SBI Life(down 3.55%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 3.49%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 3.37%), Grasim Industries(down 2.9%) and Maruti Suzuki(down 2.8%) closed in the red.
