Mawana Sugars(up 8.86%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 4.75%), BAJAJHIND(up 4.71%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 4.57%), AVADHSUGAR(up 3.79%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(up 3.64%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 3.62%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 3.52%), Shree Renuka Sugars(up 3.48%) and Simbhaoli Sugars(up 3.37%) stood among the top gainers.
EID Parry(down 1.96%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 0.82%) and MAGADHSUGAR(down 0.33%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 107.9 points down at 16498.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 366.22 points at 55102.68.
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 4.51%), UPL Ltd(up 3.51%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.3%), Wipro(up 2.58%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.32%), Coal India(up 2.25%), HCL Technologies(up 2.16%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.14%), ITC(up 1.9%) and JSW Steel(up 1.57%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, UltraTech Cement(down 6.54%), Asian Paints(down 5.18%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 5.18%), Shree Cement(down 4.62%), Eicher Motors(down 3.93%), SBI Life(down 3.55%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 3.49%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 3.37%), Grasim Industries(down 2.9%) and Maruti Suzuki(down 2.8%) closed in the red.
