HPCL shares rise 3.69% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. traded at Rs 276.6 on BSE at 10:15AM (IST) on Thursday, up 3.69 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 223.0 and a high of Rs 354.55.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.

A total of 135,454 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 10:15AM (IST).

The stock of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 39300.88 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 4.71, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 0.89. Return on equity (ROE) was at 28.0 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 390 stocks traded in the green, while 110 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 54.9 per cent in the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. as of 31-Dec-2021 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 20.19 per cent and 15.12 per cent, respectively.
