Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Tata Steel(Rs. 1007.01 crore), Hindalco(Rs. 961.07 crore), HDFC Life(Rs. 952.06 crore), RIL(Rs. 777.77 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 705.21 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 599.60 crore), HDFC(Rs. 554.79 crore), Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 499.03 crore), TCS(Rs. 426.27 crore) and Coal India Ltd(Rs. 421.89 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 178.3 points down at 16615.6, while BSE Sensex was down 746.92 points at 55500.36 as of 10:24AM(IST)on March 02.

In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 5.91 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 5.54 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 5.04 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 4.42 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 4.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 3.73 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 3.48 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 3.32 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 3.31 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 3.15 per cent) were among the top losers.
