India’s Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Exceeds 177.50 Cr: Govt

A total of 8,013 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. India’s active caseload is presently at 1,02,601 which constitute 0.24 per cent of the country's total positive cases

With the administration of 4,90,321 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 177.50 crore (1,77,50,86,335) through 2,03,49,590 sessions, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday. 

The ministry informed that 16,765 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,23,07,686. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.56 per cent.

A total of 8,013 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. India’s active caseload is presently at 1,02,601 which constitute 0.24 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

"The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 7,23,828 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 76.74 crore (76,74,81,346) cumulative tests," said the ministry. 

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 1.17 per cent and the daily positivity rate is at 1.11 per cent.
